So, in addition to playing with poetry today, I also managed to sneek in a new HIF project. Poetry Pendant

Though I don't write it as regularly as I'd like, I think poetry really is my favorite form of expression and as such, I've decided to try and incorporate more of my own poems into the jewelry I make. In this way, it feels a bit like I'm wearing a self-portrait without having to worry about wearing the right outfit or having my hair just right (okay, I admit, I don't typically care too much about those things anyway as many of you can attest, but you get my point!).

So I'll be sporting more poetic pieces here in the near future. And if you are a fan of the self-portrait, I highly suggest you check out the retreat that Liz is hosting--totally dreamy!

Yes, it's been a while, what can I say? Life trumps blog sometimes I guess. But look! I'm trying to make up for it, in part, by starting off with a new HIF project.
