It's no secret that I love Starbucks. And anyone who really knows me, knows how much I love the holiday season and Christmas trees (especially fir trees). So it shouldn't be any shock that for the last eight years or so, I have been collecting Starbucks tree ornaments. Normally, each year I just hang them along with all of my other Christmas ornaments, but the additions to the collection this year broke the camel's back. I knew I had reached a point where they needed their own spot. This weekend, Dave helped me rig up a three foot tree to be a cute half-tree that can now hang on the wall in my kitchen! Seeing these pretty red ornaments altogether on their own tree makes me happy. I've been having a bit of a harder time than usualy getting into the Christmas spirit this year, but my new little tree is a great start. I think now all I need is to really start indulging in my holiday music collection and of course, to start selecting gifts for loved ones and maybe even a stranger or two. Are you in the holiday spirit yet?

This is great, Tonia! Way to celebrate your favorite things. Hmmm...if I were to decorate a tree in my favorite thing, I'd need a whole forest! One tree decked out in chippy painted metal anythings, another in pictures of puppies and my babies, another covered in power tools, other filled with plants of all kinds, another decked out in little yellow VW bugs and road trips and...wait, you can't put a road trip on a tree. It's best I don't even start, right? I stay pretty safe with our family tree - it gets white lights and my collection of smokey gray and silver vintage glass ornaments. Oh, and silver tinsel - a nod to my childhood. :)
Thanks for sharing this!

Ha! A Power Tool Tree--now that will be next on my list! Reinforcement of the branches make take extra consideration . . .but hey, we can do it. And while you may not be able to put road trips on a tree, I think a tree that displayed nothing but road trip photos would be spledid, don't you, Stephanie??

I've been waiting to see your tree!! It looks warm and wonderful. I thought of you (of course) as I sipped an eggnog latte (pumpkin spice is better, I think) on my way back from court. I hate the "off" years when we don't get to come to Ohio!
The ornament you sent me last year is still hanging by my keyboard, keeping the christmas spirit alive.
XO

I love this idea! First I love having a little tree for a "theme", but then I love hanging it on the wall!! So clever!! I've got a small little collection of vintage-y looking ornaments that I love, but they sort of get lost amidst everything else on the tree. Next year I'll have to think about giving them their own mini-tree!

I love your Starbucks ornaments AND the ones you made! VERY cool! I have a fascination with Starbucks, too. I use Starbucks holiday cup wrappers and packaging in my Christmas journal...
